Pubs in Barking for the game tomorrow?

Got a wedding in Barking tomorrow night and I want to watch the game first. Don’t really know Barking. Any decent pubs that will be showing the game and one that I won’t get a kick in. Cheers

The Volunteer, the Westbury, the Harrow all long gone. How about The Crooked Billet and the Barge Aground?

Yes Joe....think they're still there but the pub has been turned into flats now......not sure if the people of the religion of peace have taken offence to the bare boobs and lopped them off...or found that they're too old for them...swt

Used to go to the Brittania most lunchtimes for a couple of pints of Youngs Special and a doorstep cheese and onion or sausage sranie. Fridays after work for a few pints, darts and pool, prawns from the man from Kershaws before going home and getting ready to head off to Dukes or Chan's.......Then hitting the Mocha or Jake's.....Yes I'm an old fucker!!

If you don't really know barking consider yourself lucky. Don't make an effort to get to know it. If you genuinely need to go there (a wedding is not a good enough reason even if it's yours) jump in a cab to wanstead as soon as you arrive.
